“The Biden administration has appointed seasoned Boston immigration attorney Kerry Doyle to become its immigration enforcement agency’s top prosecutor. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials confirmed to GBH that Doyle, previously of Graves & Doyle, will be its principal legal advisor. The office she will lead is the largest legal program within the Department of Homeland Security, with over 1,250 attorneys and 290 support personnel. The Office of the Principal Legal Advisor sends its prosecutors to litigate deportation cases before the Executive Office for immigration Review, the body that oversees the nation’s immigration courts. Doyle has been an outspoken critic of the agency and has led many lawsuits against it.”
A few months ago, it was reported that the ICE Office of the Principle Legal Advisor, which Doyle oversees, had closed over 300,000 active removal cases. These cases are all individuals who crossed the border illegally and for whom the Secretary had stated repeatedly that there will be consequences if they are determined to not have a lawful basis to remain. Now, these “consequences” are nowhere to be seen.
This completely undercuts the entire immigration enforcement system, as these individuals were among those that were overwhelming CBP and disrupted processing at the border, which allowed the cartels to further flourish and expand their operations.
Doyle has a long and troubling career of being an advocate for aliens who came to the United States illegally. She even brags about it on her LinkedIn profile.

Her law firm was additionally one of the many which co-filed a 2017 federal lawsuit against President Donald Trump with the American Civil Liberties Union, after he banned entry to the U.S. from several countries known as hot spots for terrorism.
